Designed by Tagir Safayev, Black Grotesk is a sans serif font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by ParaType.

Designed at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 1997 by Tagir Safayev. Based on Gasetny Chorny (“Newspaper Black”), of Ossip Lehmann foundry, St.-Petersburg, 1874, and Kompakte Grotesk of Haas. An old-fashioned German sans serif “Grotesque”. For use in advertising and display typography.
