Designed by Andreas Seidel and Helmut Matheis, Presto is a brush script and script font published by Fust & Friends.

Presto first came out in 1970, as one of the last display fonts to be published in Germany as metal type. The digital version was published in 2017 in honour of its designer Helmut Matheis, who turned 100 in November 2017. Matheis, still active as a lettering artist and pianist, was delighted with our proposal and happy to give us his permission to make this first digital version for free.
Andreas’ Seidel’s revival for Fust & Friends is a faithful rendition of the original (1970). In 2019 he expanded the first Presto digitization into a more international, better equipped font.
