Shipibo is a new typeface by Thalia Echevarria, released in March 2014.

Shipibo is perfect for display! It is inspired by the aesthetics of the ethnic population of the Peruvian Amazonian that live near the rivers in Ucayali. Their aesthetic represent the spiritual, physical and cultural relationship between the Amazonian population and the spirit of the jungle. Their belief is that the stars “travel through the sky in canoes”, giving a romantic view of these people, whom represent on their black canvas, a starry sky.

The full typeface includes full alphabet, numbers, punctuation and accent characters. You can also purchase Shipibo Color to give it a fun touch!
