Designed by Emma Zakharova, TextBook is a sans serif font family. This typeface has three styles and was published by ParaType.

TextBook was designed at Polygraphmash in 1958 by Elena Tsaregorodtseva. Latin characters and the italic were added in 1987 by Emma Zakharova.

It is an early sans serif (‘Grotesque’) and was developed for primers and the first level school textbooks.
