Designed by Jonathan Barnbrook, Bastard is a blackletter font family. This typeface has three styles and was published by Barnbrook Fonts.

A contemporary blackletter typeface, distinguished by being one of the first to be created using a personal computer. Bastard was drawn using primitive font design software in 1988 and its modular approach to character assembly was refined and published two years later.
