Designed by John Roshell and David Gibbons, Dave Gibbons is a comic font family. This typeface has three styles and was published by Comicraft.

How can we possibly call our line of celebrity fonts the MASTERS OF COMIC BOOK ART if it doesn’t include a font based on the remarkable work of comic’s renaissance gentleman, artist/writer/colorist/letterer, Dave Gibbons?!  Based on Dave’s easy-on-the-eye hand lettering, this is the font Dave himself uses to letter projects such as STAR WARS: VADER’S QUEST, MARTHA WASHINGTON &  BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE. As for why Dave wanted to call his font set “Gibbous”; he tells us it means “protuberant, rounded and bulging”—much like his lettering, obviously. What were YOU thinking?
