Rio Mesa was published by FontMesa. Rio Mesa contains 2 styles and family package options.  

A FontMesa original, Rio Mesa, with it's western flare, comes with an extra fill font containing the serifs only.

You will need an application that works in layers in order to use the fill fonts that come with FontMesa fonts.
